Winning strategy Over the course of several years, Open Options helped guide a small technology company’s patent enforcement lawsuits. By selecting the correct sequence of targeted patent infringers to sue, this small technology company was able to successfully defeat some of the industry’s giants.

Settling bankruptcy Open Options helped an accounting firm decide how to best deal with a lawsuit involving the bankruptcy of a client company. The issue was particularly pressing because legal costs were approaching $1 million per month. Through the Open Options process, the accounting firm was able to identify how to bring a co-defendant on side to offer the plaintiffs a suitable settlement.

Class action A consumer products company engaged Open Options to successfully develop a strategy to address an impending class-action lawsuit.

Civil unrest A natural resource company in West Africa turned to Open Options to successfully develop an action plan designed to reduce the escalating violence against their equipment and personnel. This required influencing not only the government but other large multi-national companies operating in the region as well.
